Banyan Tree Studio is an independent, family-owned business. When you shop with us, you are supporting British manufacturers.
We do our very best to provide customers with everything they need to make an informed shopping choice but if you have any questions regarding our products - then please give us a call as we are always happy to guide and advise!
Materials
Timber - wood is a natural product in which variations in colour, marking, size and thickness should be expected. The images on our website are intended only to give an indication of appearance, the company cannot be held responsible for the variables in colour, texture and markings that can occur in natural products.
Timber - wood is a natural product that responds to temperature and humidity variations by expanding and contracting. Sometimes these changes may be noticeable in the physical appearance of the product. The company accepts no responsibility for these changes. Wooden products can experience movements and cracks as it adjusts - this is not a fault, but a natural occurrence within the fibres of a natural product. We highly recommend that our furniture is acclimated gently to its surroundings to reduce splitting, twisting, and warping of the material.
Where the company specifies the size of the goods, a tolerance of +/- 5 millimetres shall be deemed to have been incorporated into any description supplied.
Reclaimed items - many of our materials are reclaimed and will show signs of use, age, dints, marks, scratches, scuffs and cracks etc which all contribute to the creation of a completely unique character.
Returns & Refunds
Due to the nature of our products, we cannot offer returns or refunds on the following, unless damaged: timber products including all bespoke items. Any arrangement for the return of such items will be done at the business’ sole discretion and may be subject to a restocking fee. No goods are accepted for return after 14 days. All return shipping costs are to be paid by the customer.
Refunds will only be paid once the returned goods have been inspected and after deduction of any restocking charges have been made. Refunds will usually be made within14 days after being approved.
Shipping
We aim to deliver all orders within 4 - 8 weeks once payment is received, however this may be subject to change due to busy working periods. We do as much as possible to ensure that our products are delivered to you within this timeframe. However, Banyan Tree Studio is not liable for any delays.
Due to their size and weight, the delivery driver may need assistance to get the furniture/product to your desired location.
Please do not book any fitters or installers for your goods until after they have been delivered and inspected by yourself - we will not take any responsibility for any costs incurred because of arranging this in advance of delivery.
Banyan Tree Studio is not liable for any lost profits or business interruption that may have directly, indirectly, or incidentally arisen from a delivery delay of the order.
We will charge a redelivery fee if no one is available on site to take delivery of the goods.
Prior to dispatch, Banyan Tree Studio must be made aware of any restrictions that may affect the delivery in any way, such as weight limits, access limitations or pedestrianised zones.
Damaged Shipments
All goods collected or received must be checked immediately on receipt. Any damage, faults, or discrepancies must be notified to us within 24 hours of receipt of goods. Signing a carrier's delivery note ‘un-checked’ does not absolve the persons receiving the goods from this condition.
Collections
When choosing to collect from the workshop/studio, either in person or with a 3rd party courier, the date must be arranged with the company. We will inform you when your order is ready for collection.
Pricing, Payment, and Availability
Prices are correct at the time of listing and may be subject to change without notice. Payments must be received in full prior to dispatch. Occasionally an error may cause a product/price to be incorrect, in which case Banyan Tree Studio shall be under no obligation to honour the incorrect price.
Suitability of Goods
Banyan Tree Studio will accept no liability as to the suitability of the goods for the purpose for which the purchaser may require them.

Warranty
We offer a standard two year warranty on all Products.
We warrant that on the date of delivery and for the Warranty period, the Products will be free from
construction / manufacturing defects arising from normal domestic home use for Products remaining in the UK.
The warranty does not apply to any defect in the Product arising from wilful damage, storage
conditions, accident, negligence by you or a third party, any commercial or institutional use, your failure
to follow our Care Advice or any instructions given with your Products, or any alteration or repair you
carry out without our prior written consent.
What is considered factory defect on furniture?
Damage/Defect is defined as any significant imperfections that may impair the use of the furniture or product for which it was intended to. * Natural characteristics of a material used and or workmanship finish differences, design styles are not considered damage or a defect.
